Scammers impersonate SASSA workers and offer to "speed up" your grant or "fix" your status for a fee. SASSA services are always 100% free. Never pay anyone to help with your grant. Never share your SASSA card PIN. Report suspicious behaviour to the Fraud Hotline on 0800 06 01 13.

Black Sash

Advocacy and paralegal support for SASSA applicants and grant recipients. Free advice on appeals, grants denied, and grant-related problems.

National Debt Advisors (NDA)

Free debt counselling and financial guidance for people struggling with debt on low incomes. Helps prevent blacklisting.

Legal Aid South Africa

Free legal assistance for people who cannot afford a lawyer, including help with SASSA appeals and social grant disputes.

South African Human Rights Commission

If your rights as a grant recipient have been violated, the SAHRC can investigate and assist.
